Annika Leslie CONCACAF Community Initiative
United DFC would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks and appreciation to Annika Leslie for collecting our gently used gear to donate to ISANS
(Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia) in order to help new young Canadians to participate in the sport of soccer. Annika grew up playing soccer in Nova Scotia and has been working with the Confederation of North, Central America and Carribean Association Football (CONCACAF) leadership program to develop a community initiative which recognizes the valuable role that sport plays in youth development and that helps families that may need support to get their kids involved in sport.
You can help! If you have gently used gear to donate, there will be a bin for collection at BMO Soccer Centre (210 Thomas Raddall Dr) at the following times:
Thursday June 17th from 9-11am and 6-8pm
All donations will go towards helping new Canadian youth participate in sport.

United DFC Summer Camps
We are anxiously awaiting the province to announce updated guidelines for day camps this summer.
As of June 15, and under the current public health guidelines, we have decided to delay the opening of registration for our day camps until public health restrictions allow United DFC to safely access indoor facilities.
The lack of indoor facilities is resulting in the following challenges in finalizing our day camp programs:
• Access to indoor facilities to safely accommodate campers and staff due to weather conditions such as rain, lightning, and heat. Current guidelines do not allow for access to gyms, schools, pools etc.
• This lack of access to indoor facilities creates challenges with providing adequate washrooms for campers and staff.
United DFC Camp Details
Our active camps are run by experienced summer staff and supervised by club professionals. All levels of players ages 6-12 are welcome to spend the day on the soccer field having fun, making friends and developing skills.
Traditionally, our camps include afternoon swimming sessions. Due to Covid restrictions we are unable to provide swimming as an option for our 2021 Day Camps. We will need to adjust our programs to accommodate and align with public health guidelines to ensure our campers have a great United DFC experience.
These details are subject to change based on public health guidelines.

United DFC's COYW (Come on You Wanderers) Campaign:
Our HFX Wanderers will kick off their 2021 CPL season on June 26th in Winnipeg, Manitoba, against Pacific FC. The Wanderers will start their season on the road bubbled in Winnipeg with the hopes of returning to Wanderers grounds when our COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed & when it is safe for them to do so!
United DFC has a great relationship with the HFX Wanderers. From brilliant United DFC fan attendance in the inaugural 2019 CPL season, to having Wanderers players serve as guest coaches and role-models during our winter programming - the relationship between United DFC & HFX is serving as a fantastic platform for us to grow the game and culture of football here in our region!
To show our support for our local professional club, United DFC is starting the ‘United DFC COYW!’ (Come On You Wanderers!) campaign. We want to show the Wanderers that we are ready to support and cheer them on from aways and will be ready for when they return back to Wanderers Grounds.
United DFC is asking all our members (players, coaches, parents, pets, friends - everybody possible!) to send us a short (maximum 10 seconds) video showing your support for the Wanderers! To participate visit: United DFC's COYW (Come on You Wanderers) Campaign:
